Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Bethany Home Sioux Falls
Hours: Monday Friday 7:30 4pm a rotating on call schedule.
Pay Range: Starting at $20 per hour but willing to pay more depending on experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist in the proper maintenance of the building grounds and equipment including painting of rooms/halls etc.
- Assist in making repairs to furniture and equipment as needed.
- Responsible for assisting with lawn care and snow removal clearing ice and other obstructions.
- Assist the Maintenance Director in seeing that the fire alarm emergency generator and building sprinkler system is inspected and properly maintained at all times.
- Checks and maintains hot water temperature.
- Regulates the building temperature servicing heating and airconditioning units as needed.
- Maintains call lights and side rails.
- Follows scheduled maintenance checks.
- The position will be oncall every third weekend.
- Performs other maintenance duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in maintenance work preferred.
- Prompt and regular attendance
- Ability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Clean driving record required.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Must be able to pass our background check.
