We are a growing team looking for a People Operations Partner in the HR/People department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Barcelona office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a People Operations Partner you are the first point of contact for many of our colleagues supporting them throughout the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth payroll processing benefits administration and compliance with labor laws while maintaining accurate employee records.

Beyond operations tasks you will also have the opportunity to work on strategic projects that enhance employee experience and drive process improvements. While your main focus will be collaborating with your Iberia colleagues there will be scope to work with your colleagues based in Amsterdam Paris Wroclaw and other locations.

Some of your daily tasks will include the following. We are looking for people with a broad range of knowledge/skills but there is scope to be an expert on our team as well.

  • Onboarding: Manage employment agreements and handle general contract management collect necessary documents and employee information organize and manage personnel records including contracts personal documentation and related files coordinate pre onboarding ensure compliance with mandatory training and policies.
  • Payroll: Prepare and process payroll by accurately compiling and verifying data related to employee attendance absences overtime bonuses and collaborate with the external provider for the correct payroll processing ensure tax compliance respond to employee payroll queries and discrepancies.
  • Benefits & Compensation: Administer benefits oversee leave management (vacation sick leave parental leave) ensure compliance with benefits related laws.
  • HR Systems & Data Management: Analyze HR metrics and support with HR reporting that is needed for many stakeholders in the organization by utilizing internal HRIS maintain employee records and HRIS systems ensure GDPR/data privacy compliance improve automation of HR processes where possible.
  • Labor Law & Compliance: stay updated on local labor laws and regulations ensure employment contracts and policies comply with legal requirements handle work permits and visa processes when needed oversee disciplinary actions and grievance procedures manage internal audits and government reporting requirements support investigations related to workplace disputes.
  • Offboarding: manage resignations/terminations processes coordinate final payroll and benefits adjustments ensure return of company assets and access deactivation handle legal and compliance steps.
  • Contribute to team projects

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 3 years of experience with general administrative people topics such as absence and contract management forms and certificates Spanish labor law and payroll
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication and organization skills a proactive mindset and high service orientation
  • Detailoriented approach to work and ability to handle confidential information
