Job Description
Overview
The position of ENT Surgeon (MS DNB Consultant) is critical in providing specialized care for conditions affecting the ear nose and throat. This role demands a high level of technical skills knowledge of surgical procedures and the ability to assess and treat various ENT disorders. The ENT Surgeon will work closely with patients to address their health issues perform diagnostics develop treatment plans and conduct surgical procedures when necessary. Furthermore the surgeon will participate in educational roles guiding aspiring medical professionals and sharing expertise within the healthcare community. This position not only contributes to improving patient outcomes but also influences the overall quality of healthcare services in the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients to diagnose ENT conditions.
- Perform various surgical procedures including tonsillectomy adenoidectomy and sinus surgery.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to evaluate patient health and condition.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative care for patients.
- Keep accurate and uptodate patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients on various ENTrelated health issues and preventive measures.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of advancements in ENT surgical techniques and treatments.
- Supervise junior medical staff and residents in clinical tasks.
- Provide emergency care for ENTrelated health crises.
- Compile and present research findings at medical conferences.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Engage in continuous professional development through training and workshops.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Specialization in ENT Surgery (MS/DNB) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 35 years of postgraduate experience in ENT surgery.
- Valid medical license and registration with medical boards.
- Demonstrated experience in performing a wide range of ENT surgeries.
- Strong knowledge of ENT disorders and treatment methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in highpressure environments and make quick decisions.
- Experience in managing complex patient cases in ENT.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Research experience in the field of ENT is an asset.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including oncall shifts.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care and team collaboration.
