Job Description

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham South Jordan is hiring a Night Auditor to join our team of professionals. Our Night Auditor will assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift. Keeping the front desk and accounting functions running smoothly the Auditor helps prepare the property and staff for the next days operations ensuring the transition from night to day shift is seamless. This position is vital to the success of the property and advancement opportunities are available.

Job Responsibilities:
- Checkin guests answer phones and make reservations
- Respond to guest complaints requests and emergencies
- Process invoices post checks to vendors and distribute employee checks
- Reconcile accounts
- Balance the cash drawer and log receipts
- Investigate and resolve outofbalance accounts
- Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
- Help prepare for forecasts and audits
- Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor or manager on duty
- Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions and/or requests to ensure guest satisfaction
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role preferably in the hospitality industry
- Experience with accounting and facilities management software
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in math and problemsolving
- Ability to work overnight shifts weekends and holidays as required and/or as needed
- Ability to take ownership of your environment
- Ability to work effectively independently and/or with minimal supervision
