Job Description
M te tranga About the Role
We are looking for two versatile and motivated gardeners with a desire to create and maintain the stunning gardens at our community. Your dedication to great customer service will shine through for our residents who are at the heart of all we do. We garden using natural techniques and are looking for somebody with a true passion for gardening.
One of our vacancies also requires expertise in mowing and maintenance of expansive lawns and edges across our community including the use of a walker (rideon mower).
We pay market rates and provide a uniform including quality wet weather gear tools and PPE. We provide training and we promote an educational path for our gardeners encouraging apprenticeships with Primary ITO.
This is a physically demanding job and a high level of fitness is required.
Qualifications :

Ideally Level 3 Horticulture with a desire to continue with Level 4 although this is not essential as training will be provided for an enthusiastic applicant
- Demonstrated competence in a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of plants growth patterns
- Highly motivated flexible and able to take initiative
- Safe work practices
- NZ Drivers License and the ability to drive a small manual truck

- Strong interpersonal and problemsolving abilities
- The ability to work well with colleagues as part of a team and be highly responsible and reliable
- The ability to focus attention on our residents needs while remaining calm and courteous
