Position SummaryThe Life Skills Interventionist will play a vital role in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. This position requires a deep understanding of child development child psychology and restorative practices to support students with challenging behaviors. The Life Skills Interventionist will work collaboratively with teachers parents and other staff to develop individualized plans that promote student success and wellbeing. Job Duties Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with students parents and staff. Strong critical and problemsolving skills to assess student needs and adjust interventions accordingly. Awareness and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and the ability to adapt interventions to meet the needs of all organizational skills to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate documentation. A collaborative mindset willing to engage in team meetings and contribute to schoolwide initiatives for student success. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsPrevious experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or therapeutic setting Associate Degree or 48 credits of postsecondary educationIn lieu of an Associate Degree paraeducators can take the Highly Qualified Paraeducator assessment. This HQP can be earned during employment. Must be pass Background Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in psychology education social work or related field preferredRelevant certifications in behavior analysis special education or crisis intervention (e.g. RBT ABA certification)Proficient in data collection and analysis related to student behavior
