Job Description

Responsible for the overall supervision and operation of all financial related areas within accounting including staff accounting. Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial information to the corporate offices and to property management.  The position will monitor all financial activities on property to ensure the applicable laws rules regulations and controls of the property federal and state government and gaming commission are enforced throughout the property.  The position will be responsible for creating a sense of team spirit and promoting a positive work environment.  Gaming Experience is highly preferred.

  • Prepare financial reports and analyses of operations for managements guidance. 
  • Prepare and review state county and city licenses or taxes as required. 
  • Direct and supervise Accounting personnel involved in auditing and summarizing casino and financial information.  
  • Ensure compliance with approved internal controls and audit policy and procedures
  • Work with internal and external audits
  • Review and evaluate the financial results.
  • Prepares monthly close entries and account reconciliations timely.
  • Performs special audits to provide high level of expertise on matters of a complex or sensitive nature.
  • Assists department leaders with financial results and questions
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated knowledge of general accepted accounting procedures (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of federal state and gaming laws and regulations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn and advance. 
  • Ability to lead a team. 
  • Strong work ethic. 
  • Accounting Degree required. 
  • Three  Five years minimum accountant experience required. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal State and Gaming regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
