Custodian

Under the supervision of a custodial supervisor a fulltime custodian completes evening custodial maintenance of assigned buildings on campus. Custodians oversee and train parttime and student custodial workers to assist in the cleaning and maintenance of campus buildings. • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Two years related experience required.
• Must be able to work an evening shift 10:00 pm6:30 am) as building assignment requires.
• Basic knowledge of computers (e.g. word processing and email).
• Good knowledge of tools and equipment used in custodial services such as industrial vacuums rotary floor scrubber carpet extractor and large riding equipment. Experience cleaning within lab or specialized classrooms preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train parttime and student employees to complete assigned tasks.
• Considerable knowledge of practice and procedures in custodial services.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain effective working relations.
• Outgoing personality with a history of dependability reliability and initiative.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physical exam and drug testing required.

POSITION DETAILS COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Fulltime nonexempt staff (overtimeeligible) position. Annual salary of $36000 with a desired start date of June/July 2025.
