Job Description
Overview
When you join Suburban Propane you become a part of a fastpaced and dynamic company that has been serving its employees and customers for nearly 100 years. We are currently looking for Operational Support Supervisor to join our team at our Whippany New Jersey location.
As the Operational Support Supervisor you will be will assisting in the creation and maintenance of our vehicle data base (Service Now) the vehicle files. Additionally you will also be responsible for applying financial concepts and processes to determine the financial impact of fleet/tank and operational business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain files for company owned and leased assets to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Track audit and code vendor and lease invoices for payment.
- Creates operational and fleet/tank specific financials and businessrelated analyses.
- Special projects supporting Fleet and Tank Assets.
- Create and maintain budgets.
- Provide Fleet/Tank analytics to regions.
- Update monthly Fleet and Tank expense forecast for field operations.
- Maintain fleet accounting system (Lucernex).
- Work with Fixed Assets Department to design a new system for processing asset sales.
- Help build an inventory management module in a new retail system.
- Provide supervision to employees within Fleet and Tank Assets as needed.
- Support Field Fleet Sr. Manager as needed.
Approximately 510 travel is required which may include overnight stays.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Accounting/Finance or related field) is preferred
- Minimum 3 5 years experience in field or related industry
- Working knowledge of ADDS Service Now and SAP is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word Excel etc.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle changing multiple priorities and manage time constraints
- Problem solving skills with the ability to guide a project through to completion is a must
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
