Job Description
Job Title: Radiation Therapist Oncology
Location: Coos Bay OR
Hourly Pay: $41.00 to $64.00 (based on experience)
Schedule: 80 hours per twoweek pay period Shift as assigned
Position Overview:
An established healthcare provider in Coos Bay is seeking a Radiation Therapist I to join their oncology care team. This role plays a vital part in delivering precise and compassionate treatment to cancer patients by utilizing linear accelerators and imaging systems to plan and administer radiation therapy under the supervision of radiation oncologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer therapeutic radiation treatments using linear accelerators and electron fields
- Record and maintain accurate patient treatment data and medical information
- Collaborate with oncologists dosimetrists and medical physicists to execute treatment plans
- Utilize imaging systems to localize tumors and ensure accurate targeting
- Support patient care by providing clear communication and comfort throughout treatments
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven competency in clinical radiation oncology procedures
- Experience with linear accelerator treatments preferred
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
- Effective communication skills and professionalism in patientfacing roles
- Proficient with computer software and office equipment
