Know Your Rights: are seeking a dedicated and experienced Circulating Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City KS. As a crucial member of the perioperative team the Circulating OR Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety and effective communication among surgical staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough preoperative assessments and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons anesthesiologists and other OR staff to facilitate seamless surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment by overseeing the setup of instruments equipment and supplies.
- Accurately document all surgical activities and patient care information in electronic health records.
- Serve as the advocate for the patients wellbeing ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
- Manage and organize surgical inventory ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Act promptly and efficiently in emergencies adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
