Account Services Representative Billing
DEPARTMENT: Account Services
REPORTS TO: Team Lead Billing
SCHEDULE: MondayFriday 8:00am5:00pm
(some flexibility with hours)
Position Summary:
The Account Services Representative Billing position is responsible for accurately processing billing cycles maintaining customer accounts and ensuring all billing activities align with the department schedule. This role requires strong attention to detail the ability to analyze accounts and effective communication skills for assisting customers and collaborating with internal teams. Additionally this position assists in the regulatory compliance and efficient operations of the District.

Billing Operations
- Analyze customer accounts to ensure billing accuracy.
- Process final bills quarterly and monthly billing cycles.
- Track the number of accounts billed in the bill tracking sheet.
- Process cancellations manual adjustments and rebills of customer accounts.
- Load and unload billing cycles and WOMS.
- Enter meter test results into CIS.
- Ensure accuracy of endofmonth reports and assist with endofmonth duties.
- Process AR credit balances and generate associated reports.
- Process state refunds annually and ensure compliance with regulations.
Customer and Team Support
- Generate and send customer letters related to account adjustments and billing issues.
- Assist in answering customer calls and responding to inquiries.
- Provide support in the call center during peak call volume periods.
- Assist Team Lead and Specialist with assigned duties as needed.
- Work service orders and resolve billingrelated discrepancies.
- Process goback accounts and verify their billing status.
- Perform quality assurance checks on noread accounts.
Reporting and Compliance
- Run requested reports for internal use and audits.
- Maintain billing accuracy through validation processes and team collaboration.
- Assist in ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Support additional department needs as directed by management.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 13 years of experience in billing customer service or a related field preferred.
- Experience with billing software systems such as WOMS AS and RNI preferred.
Additional Skills:
- Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong customer service skills for assisting customers via phone and email.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PDF tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job primarily operates in a climatecontrolled environment. Works with equipment such as computers copy machines fax and phones. The position requires auditory and visual skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. There is no regular travel expected for this position.
