Clinical Trainee

Base Salary: $60004.41 $69478.79/annually

Fully Licensed

Base Salary: $68755.06 $79611.12/annually

The expected compensation range for this position represents a good faith estimate for this position and the specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including but not limited to the candidates relevant knowledge training skills work location experience and/or FTE.

About Us

Canvas Healths mental health and substance use disorder providers clinicians and staff bring their diverse lived experience to help inform and guide the care they provide to clients. Our integrated programs and services offer coordinated care to people of all ages in their homes the community and in our clinics. We strive for excellence in clinical care as we serve those living with mental illness substance use disorders crisis unstable housing and trauma. Canvas Health is a nonprofit Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid.

Position Summary

This position provides clinical services to those children ages 5 to 14 and their families at Lino Lakes Elementary School. This position provides individual group and family therapy in the school Canvas Health office home and in the community. This position also provides the school with clinical consultation and debriefing after crisis situations for staff and students. This position emphasizes a high level of skill and knowledge about families individuals and family assessment family skills and education services in the school. It also provides consultation/teaming with school psychologists school social workers teachers and multiple mental health providers. This position provides case consultation training on mental health issues and assistance to school personnel for clients at Lino Lakes Elementary School.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 40 hours/week (Full time yearround primarily school hours. Some evening work when needed for family or school engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters degree in social work Marriage & Family Therapy Psychology or Clinical Counseling
• Possess or currently pursuing an LICSW LMFT LP or LPCC licensure.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in working with severe emotional disorders in children and adults family systems theory individual and family development and community resources and school systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Considerable ability to plan and implement treatment strategies for children with SED.
• Experience with students and families of color understanding of the impact of race and poverty upon students and families.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records
