Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Plant Engineer (all genders) to join our team at GE Grid Solutions. This role involves activities aimed at validating the feasibility of technical concepts through the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. The primary objective is to demonstrate the performance and implementation potential of such concepts through testing and analysis.The position directly impacts the quality of work within the team contributing to standard operational and technical tasks while adhering to established work routines and instructions. There is some flexibility in sequencing tasks based on evolving work requirements.
Job Description
As a Junior Plant Engineer (all genders) you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the technologies and operations within GE Grid Solutions specifically in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Alternating Current Systems (ACS). You will be assigned to the Control and Protection Department where you will engage with cuttingedge technologies and apply your expertise to reallife projectseither in research and development (R&D) or project .

Key Responsibilities
Design and layout highvoltage (HV) substations ensuring their reliability efficiency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Perform 3D modeling layout drawings and architectural design.
Collaborate with crossfunctional engineering teams to support project and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in the preparation and review of technical project documentation.
Conduct electrical calculations to support system design and performance analysis.
Key Required Qualifications
Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Strong technical understanding of electrical hardware engineering principles.
Ability to think innovatively and apply engineering knowledge in practical applications.
Eagerness to learn an inquiring mindset and a willingness to share knowledge.
Proficiency in engineering software/tools such as AutoCAD REVIT BIM MS Office and Windows.
Fluency in English is required; a minimum B2 level in German (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Additional Information
This position is wellsuited for recent graduates holding a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Candidates should have experience in 3D modeling and layout design and have completed coursework related to HVDC systems.
