Job Description

MACS is seeking a specialist teacher to teach music education in a unique K8 MicroSociety themed charter school. MACS currently has 300 students and is in the middle of an expansion and are looking to fill this position full time. Summary: Responsible for instructing K8 students by creating lesson plans administering praise and constructive criticism instructing students in their respective specialty and integrating MicroSociety Responsibilities:Plan prepare and deliver instructional activitiesCreate a positive classroom climate in which students can learnGrade students according to school report card proceduresCommunicate clearly classroom goals learning objectives and student progressDevelop curricula projects that reflect the diverse educational cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the students servedManage student behavior in the classroomPerform other related duties as requested by the Schools Head of School
