Job Description

Newport School District is seeking a certified and dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The ESY teacher is responsible for implementing IEP goals collaborating with team members and supporting student growth in a structured and supportive summer learning environment. The ESY program will be MondayThursday 8 am 12 pm beginning 7/7/25 ending 8/1/ Responsibilities:Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with student IEPsDevelop and implement engaging individualized lessons and activitiesProvide accommodations and modifications as outlined in student plansCollect and report data in writing on student progress toward IEP goalsMaintain a safe positive and inclusive classroom climateCollaborate with related service providers paraprofessionals and familiesAttend required staff meetings and preprogram training
