Job Description
Coilcraft is a successful privatelyheld company in Cary IL with a worldwide reputation for highquality passive electronic components. Coilcraft operates in a wide range of industries including telecommunications computers automotive broadband communications and consumer electronics. We seek a skilled individual to join our engineering team as a Material Science/Chemistry Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and experiments related to materials development analysis and characterization.
- Prepare process and analyze samples of polymers metals ceramics or composites using standard techniques.
- Assist in developing and optimizing material formulations and processes.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure reliable results.
- Record organize and interpret experimental data with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.
- Follow established safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe laboratory environment.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques including sample preparation chemical handling and analytical methods.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with laboratory software is a plus but not required.
