Job Description:

Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit providescomprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.
Job Summary:
This supervisor operates a warehouse with inbound and outbound freight shipments that are processed within a short timeframe. Supports business products by collaborating with vendors customers and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments. Monitors and manages facility performance to ensure materials are processed in a timely manner and meet customers requirements. Responsible for daily facility activities related to loading and unloading containers pulling orders freight sorting customer support facility inspections handling employee concerns etc.
This position is responsible for overseeing evaluating and correcting the performance and outcomes of a team or multiple teams. Coordinates work across the organization to optimize efficiency. Makes key workforce decisions such as hiring onboarding transferring laying off disciplining assigning directing instructing developing and rewarding employees. Emphasis on aligning processes and fostering cohesion among team members.
This role supervises a team(s) that performs work according to standardized processes or procedures (e.g. entrylevel Professional Expertise Administrative or Technical Support). Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors. Problem solving is guided by policies procedures and the local business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager. Typically does not perform the work supervised.
This supervisor also manages budgets and understands accounting processes determines needed resources and allocates funds.Monitors expenditures to budget targets and resolves discrepancies. Applies supply chain and logistics knowledge of the flow of materials information and finances involved in manufacturing and distributing products
Qualifications:
Must be currently located in the same geographic location Required.
Bachelors degree or international equivalent or 3 years of UPS experience Preferred.
Previous Management/Supervisor experience Preferred.
Logistics/Warehousing experience Preferred.
Other Criteria:
Job Grade:20D Supervisor.
Schedule/typical working hours: MondayFridaywith OT/Saturdays when needed.Potential schedule changes during peak.
