Job Description
The Salemwood Community:
The Salemwood School is one of the largest and most diverse K8 schools in the city of Malden. Our school prides itself on our international diversity; our families speak over 34 different languages. Our school is home to a Sheltered English Immersion program which serves students whose primary language is not English.

Responsibilities:
Seeking a education support professional to work in a substantially separate classroom with partial inclusion program for students with special needs. Will work under daily direction of a licensed Special Education Teacher and BCBA experienced in Autism Developmentally Delayed and other severe neurological disabilities. Must be adept at supporting students in the acquisition of academic social and behavioral goals set by the special education team. Knowledge of augmentative/alternative communication methodsreinforcement schedules and behavior management techniques. Must be adept at working in a collaborative model with teachers and specialists in order to provide a transdisciplinary instructional approach. Toileting/diapering and heavy lifting may be required.
Reports to:Building Principal and Program Manager
Salary: Commensurate with Malden Public Schools Unit C salary schedule.
