Job Summary
This position will assist in managing and developing social media and promotional content for the School of Creative Technologies at Illinois State University. This role will contribute to the schools outreach and communication strategies.
The majority of the graduate assistants primary duties include but are not limited to:
1. Content Creation
Developing engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g. Instagram and Facebook)
Producing written visual and video content to highlight student and faculty work events and achievements.
Creating promotional materials for online and offline distribution.
2. Social Media Management
Maintaining and updating the schools social media accounts.
Scheduling and monitoring social media posts.
3. Promotional Support
Assisting with the planning and of promotional events to help with student engagement.
Helping to increase student recruitment through online and inperson events.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$755 for 0.25 FTE appointment
Required Qualifications
1. Eligible for appointment as per the requirements in the Graduate Assistant Handbook which can be found at Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in one of the following academic programs: Communication Marketing MBA Recreation Administration Creative Technologies
3. Familiarity with one of the following digital mediums: sound video web motion graphics.

You must be eligible for employment in the United States and at Illinois State University and/or for the number of hours required for the position.
Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of oncampus employment for all positions held. International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of oncampus employment when the university is in session but may work up to 28 hours per week when the university is not in session.
