Substitute Teachers
The Expedition School offers an exceptional school culture and offers students an authentic projectbased learning News and World Reports ranked The Expedition School as the top #2 charter middle school and the #7 top overall middle school in the entire state of NC.
The Expedition School is looking for qualified and experienced individuals to serve as occasional/asneeded substitute teachers for grades K8 in main classrooms and also in music art STEM and PE.
NonCertified: $15.00 per hour
Certified: $16.00 per hour
Essential Tasks:
- Maintains and respects confidentiality of student and school personnel information;
- Maintains classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school policies;
- Ensures adequate supervision to assure health welfare and safety of all students;
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities;
- Implements lesson plans while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a mannerthat motivates students to learn and participate;
- Organizes students for effective instruction;
- Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities;
- Determines if their services will be required for the next school day;
- Reports all student injuries accidents illnesses and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible;
- Completes a Substitute Teacher Report Form for the regular classroom teacher;
Job Type: Temporary
Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour
TES operates on a modified yearround schedule.
