Job Description Summary

The Key Account Manager develops follows up and manages Sandoz investments at key customer sites in order to ensure strong and sustainable collaboration between all parties. The Key Account Manager has the objective to increase with integrity the performance of the current agreements while managing the respective costs (P&L) and develop the portfolio in line with the strategic focus of the company.

  • Participation in building the overall commercial strategy:
    • Internal and external analysis of the customers
    • Understanding of market environment
    • Continuous focus on items such as: financials legal requirements compliance customer satisfaction

  • Negotiate on yearly base new conditions for the selected portfolio
    • Management of customer P&L
    • Definition of contract terms and conditions
    • Validation of agreements with different internal stakeholders

  • Insures the negotiation of the terms with our partners and new prospects

  • Follows up on agreed conditions along the year
    • Ensures of contract terms at POS level
    • Ensures communication flow between different stakeholders
    • Follows up on a monthly base with key customers on their performance
    • Ensures risk and opportunities are flagged in time and to the right parties
    • Ensures link and communication flow with Supply Chain and wholesalers
    • Supports field force in following up upon agreed strategy
    • Manages KPIs on a regular base and follows up on performance

  • Identify potential new partners and develop according strategy
    • Analyze and identify potential partners in line with the commercial strategy of the company

  • Ensures market insights and political changes
    • Followup of environmental and political changes with special focus at pharmacy level
    • Screen and observe competition and share insights with internal stakeholders
    • Analyzes and summarizes information gathered via different sources in order to characterize the market environment

What youll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing business (administration) or communication
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Fluent in Dutch French & English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Business acumen and KPI management skills
  • Strong insightful analytical skills
  • P&L understanding and management
  • Excellent commercial understanding
  • Solutionoriented and proactive
  • Strong time management skills; ability to multitask effectively
