Job Description

As Science and Skin Modelization Expert you will define and implement the in vitro modelization strategic plan to align with project innovation needs and ensure cuttingedge methodologies to support research and products innovation objectives.

You will develop optimize and validate in vitro models to enhance predictability and translational relevance in preclinical studies to sustain products safety and efficacy

The role reports to Head of Supply Chain EMEAC

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the development and implementation of in vitro models to accelerate the innovation pipeline ensuring scientific robustness while enhancing product differentiation
• Collaborate crossfunctionally with R&D (clinical PRLs Products development regulatory) to integrate in vitro insights into the innovation products pipeline.
• Identify emerging technologies and scientific advancements in in vitro/ex vivo modelization to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Identify and integrate advanced in vitro and ex vivo models that enhance the predictive accuracy of ingredients product efficacy and safety assessments.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices in model development and application.
• Lead or contribute to external collaborations with academic (GSSF) and industry partners to strengthen in vitro capabilities
• Serve as the Key Contact for Ingredient Selection based on Scientific Literature and Strategic product Positioning
• Manage and oversee external partnerships to leverage cuttingedge human skin cell culture models and tissue engineering approaches for product innovation.
• Apply biomarker and mechanistic studies to substantiate claims and create nextgeneration dermatological solutions with a competitive edge.
• Bridge scientific advancements with marketdriven innovation by transforming skin modeling insights into compelling product narratives and differentiated claims.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 710 years experience in cosmetic development of industry with a background in Cell Biology Bioengineering or a related life science discipline in dermatology
• Solid experience in managing projects
• Knowledge of GLP
• Strong understanding of skin metabolism
• Able to work consistently to high standards meeting deadlines and able to work with changing priorities.
• Direct experience using conventional and/or complex in vitro skin tissue culture models including with primary human skin cell cultures coculture systems 3D reconstituted human epidermis and human skin organ cultures;
• Ability to independently design supervise and analyze experiments with outsourced partners using molecular cellular and biochemical techniques with a focus on skin biology and tissue engineering applications.
• Strong understanding of cosmetic development process skin knowledge and stakeholders network influencing Consumer care business
• Able to manage multiple projects with autonomy
• Experience working crossfunctionally and building collaborative working relationships.
• Experience in reporting publishing and presenting results (internal and external) and in supporting scientific marketing.
