Job Description

Subject: Teacher Foreign Language Spanish Speaking RequiredReports to: Building PrincipalDescription of the position or the program: The Worcester Public Schools is seeking an outstanding Spanish educator for the fulltime position of Middle School Spanish at Sullivan Middle School. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptionally strong skills as an educator and language fluency. The successful candidate will exhibit dynamic interpersonal skills to motivate and engage students. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities) for the development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and for the integration of the departments curriculum where for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race color gender age religion national origin gender identity marital status sexual orientation disability or of other jobrelated duties as QUALIFICATIONS: DESE Licensure in Middle School a mastery of content area or graduate course work in ability to provide rigorous expectations for to participate in targeted professional development in content area and understanding of using and analyzing data to drive ability to use formative and summative to work collaboratively with othersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: experience supporting students with special experience with second language acquisitionWORK YEAR: 184 days SALARY: Salary scale shown is based on the candidate holding a Bachelors Degree.
