Grade One TeacherWaldorf School of Lexington located in the Greater Boston area is currently accepting applications for a First Grade teacher. Through looping this teacher will lead this group of students from first through fifth grade. This onsite position has an expected start date of August 2025 and offers fullbenefits with a salary range of $commensurate with a Waldorf class teacher the successful candidate will understand the development approach to educating both young children and adolescents observe each individual child with reverence and craft lessons to meet their ideals fears and aspirations. By integrating the arts with history science geography social studies and mathematics the class teacher will offer a transformational experience just at the time children are asking who am I and what am I here to do Lessons will be crafted to include projects which exercise student initiative and build selfknowledge. Waldorf class teachers are storytellers musicians artists and dramatic coaches as they interpret the curriculum at each phase of development. The class teacher is also responsible for students overall academic and social development. A Student Support Team and dedicated group of special subject teachers work closely with the class teacher to serve each students learning needs.
