Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and detailoriented Communications Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for enhancing our organizations visibility and reputation through effective communication strategies. You will work closely with various departments to develop and implement a cohesive communications plan that aligns with our mission and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance organizational visibility.
- Create edit and distribute compelling content for newsletters press releases and social media platforms.
- Manage and maintain our social media accounts ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
- Assist in organizing and promoting events including workshops conferences and community outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate media relations including drafting press materials and responding to media inquiries.
- Monitor and analyze communications metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.
Skills Required
- Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Marketing or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a communications or marketing role preferably in a nonprofit or similar setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools.
- Experience with graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
