Position Overview

We are seeking a detailoriented Purchasing Planner to support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract with the U.S. Army. The Purchasing Planner will be responsible for managing procurement planning inventory control and supply chain coordination to ensure timely and costeffective acquisition of goods and services. This role requires strong logistics procurement and supply chain management expertise in compliance with U.S. Army and hostnation regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute purchasing plans to meet operational requirements under the FMS contract.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing vendors suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) and hostnation procurement laws.
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking systems.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Work closely with logistics finance and program management teams to optimize procurement efficiency.
  • Track purchase requisitions supplier performance and delivery schedules to ensure contract fulfillment.
  • Support budget planning forecasting and cost analysis for procurement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with export control laws trade agreements and supply chain security requirements.
  • Address supply chain disruptions risk mitigation and contingency planning as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in procurement purchasing planning or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. government procurement processes FMS contracts and defense supply chain logistics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint) and procurement databases.
  • Excellent negotiation problemsolving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fastpaced international environment.
  • SECRET or higher security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CSCM) Certified in Planning and Inventory management (CPIM)
  • Experience with hostnation procurement and logistics regulations.
  • Familiarity with SAP Deltek or other government procurement platforms.
  • Background in defense aerospace or government contracting industries.
