Description
If you are a seasoned Manufacturing & Operations professional looking for an opportunity to grow we have an exciting opportunity for you! You will provide leadership as the Plant Manager for our Copeland Vilter plant in the Milwaukee WI area. You will also be responsible for delivering plant operational goals and developing strategies that facilitate growth deliver profitable margins and material velocity. This role will promote a culture of trust and reinforce behaviors that encourage a growth mindset and continuous improvement. This leader will also work closely with the Materials Engineering Quality and Project Management groups. You will balance customer employee and shareholder needs to help drive the business. The Plant Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and will collaborate with peers at other plants the Business Unit and the corporate level.
As the Plant Manager you will:
Commit to plant safety procedures and drive a companywide culture of safety first
Implement and handle cost effective process improvements capital and operating expenditures and costreduction program
Lead regular safety lean 5S inspections review performance to targets and pursue root cause analysis and countermeasure steps
Adopt the Copeland Business System as the operating platform to drive value stream mapping lean daily management and structured problemsolving.
Establish measurements and get results through lean and continuous improvement on operational critical metrics (Safety Quality Delivery Cost and People)
Achieve Operational objectives linked to business goals and effectively communicate progress to inspire ownership and accountability in employees
Develop a culture that embodies operational excellence core principles: respect everyone lead with humility seek perfection scientific thinking process focus quality at the source flow and pull value think systematically constancy of purpose customer value
Lead the team with high expectations building a culture of candor trust and strong performance modeling core values of partnership respect innovation responsibility and excellence
Develop talent at all levels within the plant organization and mitigate talent gaps to cultivate an impactful organization with deep bench strength
Provide regular performance feedback to employees while mentoring and counseling team members quickly and optimally to meet the companys expectations for both leadership proficiencies and goal achievement
Build influence and rapport with people across various levels functions cultures and geography
Gain insight into customer needs to develop solutions that also align with organizational needs
Participate in sales inventory and operations planning sessions to develop operations objectives in support of organizational goals and customer support
Model high standards of honesty and integrity and assure others think and act similarly
Required education experiences & skills:
Prior plant management experience
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical engineering or business discipline; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Experience driving lean manufacturing initiatives and production improvement programs
Ten 10 years of operations and/or businessrelated experience and consistent track record of progressive levels of leadership in business technical or manufacturing management roles
Excellent communication skills including written verbal and presentation ability with a focus on the customer
Strong analytical and data leadership skills
Strong social skills enabling collaboration in a teamoriented environment
Highquality decision making even in the face of uncertainty or when incomplete information is available
Handson leader who possesses a high level of drive integrity accountability and energy to connect with all levels of employees
Occasional travel for trainings meetings and events up to 15 of the time
Preferred education experiences & skills:
Prior experience in Industrial setting (low volume / high variability)
Experience in a Union environment
Experience with customerfacing engagement
Graduatelevel education in business technical or engineering field
Relevant business insight into Industrial industry and customer needs
Experience with the deployment of automation
Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities

About Our Location
