Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch thousands of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide lowlatency highspeed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world including USA and international governments. This position will lead the implementation of special networking features to support government customers using Kuiper for space air land and sea applications.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Technical Program Manager you will be responsible for managing the program team establishing program cost technical and schedule baselines and tracking progress towards that baseline. You will identify project critical schedule paths establish and implement plans to avoid and recover from challenges and ensure your programs meet customer cost technical and schedule goals.
You will work with KGS product engineering contracts finance supply chain and business development employees to support your programs. You will work closely with the Kuiper commercial to organize resources schedule milestones and track achievements. You will work in a collaborative analytical fastpaced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical crossfunctional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment dive deep into data have strong writing skills and be comfortable leading executivelevel reviews.

Candidates with experience executing programs to develop field maintain and support terrestrial and SATCOM networks; on stationary and mobile endpoints; custom networking features in hardware accelerators firmware and software; modeling simulation and emulation of proposed solutions; network resource planning; and network security and cyber standards equipment and practices will be preferred.
Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.
A day in the life
In this role you will:
Propose and drive adoption of improvements to the Kuiper program for government users
Lead and document trade studies for intrateam review for stakeholder buyin
Deliver programs that develop new networking features and implementations; model simulate and emulate network feature implementations; integrate new networking features into existing operational systems; perform demonstrations; monitor and validate deployed network features security and cyber protections in the deployed system including compatibility with standards such as HAIPE and EDECIS; obtain relevant government and industry certifications and compatibility with industry and government standards; maintain and support deployed features; and collect and analyze security cyber and performance statistics for compliance with requirements and customer standards; and support third party independent testing and validation.
Create program schedule cost and technical baselines define and track key program metrics and manage of the program to meet those goals. Manage suppliers subcontractors and support staff on your programs. Proactively manage the programs and devise plans to resolve breakdowns remove roadblocks avoid triggering threats fulfill obligations and exploit opportunities. Organize regular project and team meetings focusing design teams and support staff to meeting program baselines. Set agenda communicate meeting notes and actions follow up with responsible owners. Provide monthly program status updates to management stakeholders and customers. Fulfill program hardware software firmware and documentation deliverables.
Communicate clear and effective narratives to executive management on the plans status and critical issues. Escalate urgent issues appropriately and drive them to closure in a timely manner.
5 years of technical product or program management experience
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or equivalent
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
