Hitachi Energy is looking for Software Development Engineer in Testing to join our team grow with us introduce us to new ideas and test products that empower our customers. Every day youll work with team members across disciplines testing highly available scalable and reliable software. The Software Quality Engineer works on functional and technical challenges and facilitates collaborative efforts within the scrum team and across product teams in support of the frequent delivery of quality software to the customer
Design software test plans test cases scripts processes and procedures used to ensure that software operates within defined requirements as noted in epics stories and acceptance criteria. Implement and execute software test plans manual testing and validation strategies. Identify and investigate issues and risks found during testing. Work closely with software developers in resolution of problems. Also help debug software products using systematic testing and documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to verify the state of existing functionality in the system under test and recommend corrective actions where needed.
As a R&D Engineer Software Development Engineer in Testing for Enterprise Software R&D Unit you will be a part of the respective local department but also report to the R&D Team Manager.
Your responsibilities:
- Must be able to show strong QA characteristics at all levels Requirements gathering test methodology release
- Must have excellent communication skills is comfortable reaching out across teams as needed for clarification (Candidate will need to represent QA in agile teams)
- Experience in of the following Test types Integration System and / or Regression
- Design develop review and execute test strategies and test cases
- Provide test results and regular reports on testing
- Participate in feature specification reviews
- File high quality bug reports
- Proactively question everything looking for testing efficiency gains
- Have strong understanding of QA methodology
- Experience testing large scale client server applications that include web and mobile clients

Your background:
- Bachelors degree in computer science information systems or a related field with relevant work experience.
- Inquisitive how things work dig into a problem
- Ability to identify potential problems create tests that will expose bugs
- Ability to understand the feature
- Education BE degree in an appropriate field along with 2 years of qualityassurance testing experience
- As a QA Analyst you must have Excellent communication skills that can cross multiple technical disciplines
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
