Temporary Information Technology Temporary Summer Help

Reports to:

Network Manager/Engineer

Temporary Summer Help

Information Technology support temporary workers to assist with ITS summer projects.

Under general direction of the Network Manager/Engineer performs tasks that provide efficient utilization and maximum performance of computer systems and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoots and isolates sources of network computer problems. Receive direction and support from assigned Technology Support Technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Install/reimage wired and wireless computers to include software and configuration of network and peripheral equipment. Ensure that all installations are completed using districttechnology plans and approved wiring diagrams to enable troubleshooting and repairof network connectivity. Install data conduits cabling outlet boxes and relatedhardware as specified by the network design plan. Perform testing and repair of datacabling as required.
  • Diagnose moderately complex network problems and identify methods of and repair computer hardware and peripheral equipment. Conductperiodic maintenance according to established department schedule. Work with supervisorto provide input and coordination for the most appropriate manner of repairreplacement modification or new installation of computer hardware and datacommunications hardware considering cost timelines resources and budget.
  • Setup VOIP phones Audio and Video Classroom equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the districts client filtering software firewall.
  • Responsible for the setup maintenance and management of wireless networks usingwireless protocol 802.11 n/ax. Ensure wireless network security is maintained.
  • Prioritize and organize time and resources to effectively support the InformationTechnology program and services.
  • Provide end user support to related computer hardware and software problems. Fieldcustomer questions regarding the use of MS Office and Windows 10/11
  • Conduct oneonone training as it pertains to district wide applications with internalcustomers.
  • Model appropriate and cooperative behavior including protecting confidentialinformation consistent with district ethical guidelines.
  • Foster and maintain strong productive relationships with district employees vendorsand contractors and other community members. Work with a variety of people in apositive manner.
  • Provides related functions as required.

The essential functions listed above are not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. The position may perform a variety of nonessential functions consistent with the scope and intent of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Required:Computer experience

Preferred:AA degree in computer science data processing or equivalent technical training incomputer science data processing or related field of study. This degree may be inprogress orcompleted.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employees responsibility. The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.

Employees who are anticipated to work 630 hours during the school year (September 1 through August 31 are eligible for medical dental vision long term disability and basic life insurance benefits. RETIREMENT AND DEFERRED COMPENSATION

These are supplemental retirement savings programs that allows you control over the amount of pretax salary dollars you defer as well as the flexibility to choose between multiple investment options.
