Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the Operations Technician II will be responsible for utilizing an advanced understanding of electronic theory and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and/or repair instrumentation and components. The Operation Technician will also identify process inefficiencies recommend solutions and implement corrective actions leading to continuous improvement.
This position is a part of the Optics Department located onsite in Bellevue WA.
In this role a typical day will look like:
- Performing unit repairs that may include soldering wiring replacement of inoperative electrical and/or mechanical parts.
- Demonstrating an understanding of electronic theory and mechanical skills to troubleshoot and/or repair instrumentation and components.
- Maintaining Standard Work daily management routines/goals and crosstraining matrices.
- Help support a teamworkoriented culture to ensure that all service to customer or companyowned equipment is completed accurately according to specification efficiently and on time.
- Quickly crosstrain on new tasks and new instrument value streams.
- Use lean manufacturing concepts to help plan and implement continuous process improvements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 2year technical degree or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of handson mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in tasks such as soldering wiring and part replacement.
- Solid understanding of electronic theory and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret sophisticated drawings schematic and wiring.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenuebased metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $29.00 $32.00 USD per job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
