Job Description

Job Title: Director Human Resources

Job Code: 22863

Job Location: Camden NJ.

Schedule: 9/80 Every other Friday off

The Director HR Business Partner support the business leaders within the Surface & C5S Division and will lead a team of HR Business Partners in the U.S. and at international site locations. This is an onsite position located in Camden NJ. This role will report to the Maritime Sector Vice President of Human Resources.

Position Description:

  • Partner directly with the sector and site leadership team to deliver strategies to drive engagement talent acquisition and development organizational effectiveness and continuous improvement in support of the annual operating plan (AOP).
  • Serve as a key member of the Maritime HR team in the development and of HR strategic with other HR Site Leaders to drive HR initiatives across all sites
  • Ensure the consistent and unbiased application of various HR processes and programs and their alignment with organizational needs business priorities and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement as applicable.
  • Usemetrics/analytics to drive performance and people decisions in developing HR strategies for engagement retention and diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with site leaders to create workforceand staffing plans to ensureavailability of human capital necessaryto accomplish business results.
  • Build andmaintain effective working relationships withleadership and employees and provide advice and counsel to both onemployeerelated andorganizational matters.
  • Take ownershipand exhibit leadership for variousHuman Resources projects initiatives and labor relations as well as drive strategic goals down into the HR organization.
  • Manage and develop aligned team members; establish goals measure performance identify development needs and opportunities to build a strong agile HR department.
  • Serve as advisor mentor and coach for leaders in support of achieving objectives.
  • Ensures best practices relative to Talent Acquisition Total Rewards Organizational Development and Talent Management
  • Effectively communicate and promote HR and business strategy to all levels of the organization
  • Strategize with labor representatives and site leaders to establish the companys bargaining position during negotiations. Prepare negotiation materials for senior leadership/executive review. Manage the negotiation budget and process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 15 years prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • MBA or Masters degree preferred
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role in Human Resources and experience in leading labor relations for a bargained population
  • Experience developing strategy with collective bargaining and reporting up to senior leadership
  • Experience working in the Maritime and Defense or manufacturing industry preferred
  • Strong HR Functional knowledge with experience in Talent Acquisition Total Rewards Talent Management and Employee Relations
  • Demonstrated track record of building strong business relationships with business leaders
  • Ability to influence coach and consult with all levels of the organization in a positive and effective manner
  • Demonstrated experience coaching business leaders and facilitating organizational change
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all Human Resources functions with a focus on retaining and developing talent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment
  • Strong business and HR acumen including strong problemsolving skills critical thinking and selfinitiative has a track record on delivering commitments
  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering presentations to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship
