Work Period:July through December
Location:Onsite 3 days per weekin Needham MA.There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.
As a Mobile App Developer Coop youll work closely with our engineering and product teams to develop and enhance crossplatform mobile applications. Youll gain handson experience integrating mobile apps with IoT devices via Bluetooth WiFi and cloud services helping to build intuitive interfaces for realworld smart systems.
Here are some of the EXCITING things youll get to do:
- Develop and maintain crossplatform mobile applications using React Native TypeScript Swift Kotlin and Rust.
- Collaborate on integrating mobile apps with IoT hardware (Bluetooth/WiFi enabled devices).
- Assist with implementation of features such as realtime data syncing notifications and device control.
- Write clean maintainable code and contribute to code reviews.
- Test and debug mobile applications across multiple devices and platforms.
- Participate in agile development practices and daily standups.
- Research and recommend new tools libraries or best practices.
KEY ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or within one year of graduation.
- Must be able to come into the office 3 days per week.
- Familiarity with React Native TypeScript and mobile development concepts.
- Understanding of IoT basics and experience with APIs or communication protocols (e.g. BLE MQTT HTTP).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Basic knowledge of version control (Git).
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fastpaced environment.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with native modules in Android (Java/Kotlin) or iOS (Swift/ObjectiveC).
- Experience with lowlevel languages such as Rust or C/C.
- Previous projects involving Bluetooth communication or smart home devices.
- Familiarity with cloud services (Firebase AWS IoT etc..
- UI/UX design experience or familiarity with tools like Figma.
