Job Description
Work Schedule:
100 FTE 40 hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the needs of the clinic.
Pay:

We are seeking a Lead Opticianto:
- Join the UW Health Eye Care Team who provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
- Oversee and mentor Optical staff.
- Provide direction coaching and motivate staff to achieve objectives and provide excellent patient care.
- Assist patients with selecting the right fit shape style of eyewear and dispense contact lenses.
- Perform eyeglass repairs and adjustments.
Education:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Completion of an accredited Optician Vision Care Program
- Some continued education courses
Work Experience:
Minimum
- Computer experience required
- Previous eye care experience
- Minimum 1 year or more supervisory or leadership experience
Preferred
- One or more years optician experience
- Lab training or experience preferred
- Contact lens training or experience preferred
- Optical lab experience and/or optometric technician experience
- One or more years of work experience with processing insurance claims
- Obtain ABO Certification within 18months or three 3 testing periods from the date of hire and maintain the certification within 11/2 Yrs Required
- American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification and/or National Contact Lens (NCLE) Certification Preferred
