Do you have prior laboratory experience and a science background Are you a detailoriented selfdirected problem solver If this sounds like you come join our Laboratory Services team! We are hiring for a Chemist 3 (Quality Assurance Chemist) position in our new Wilsonville lab.
What youll be doing
Assists with the development and validation of new methods to meet changes in current best practices technologies regulatory framework or customer needs.
Utilizes LCQQQ GCQQQ GCMS HPLC and other instruments for analyses.
Carry out extractions and prepares samples of various matrices for analyses.
Reviews and quantifies data generated from the instrumentation.
Authors and reviews technical documents such as SOPs and work instructions.
Performs other jobrelated tasks (within the scope of experience and training) as specified by the laboratory manager/director.
Keep complete and legible records.
Lias with QAO for chemistry issues and enhancements to chemistry QC.
Reviews data packets guide others for consistent review by team
Helps develop project plans with chemists and assist in followup once approved.
Review/develop Control charts.
Serves as expert witness in contested cases as needed.
Performs internal audits.
Meets regularly with QA group to discuss audit findings risks.
Provides Management Review support with input action plans implementation etc.
Stays current on QA issues in chem areas (ISO TNI other states requirements etc).

Minimum qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Chemistry and two years of experience independently performing analytical chemistry procedures which include designing developing and implementing analytical methods and procedures and OR
Three additional years of pertinent experience may substitute for the bachelors degree.

Demonstrated expertise in chemistry and chemical testing based on education and previous work experience in a laboratory conducting testing of samples.
Demonstrated expertise in analytical laboratory procedures techniques and scientific methods of measurement.
Working knowledge of regulatory and quality control guidelines related to testing and research including cGMP and ISO/IEC 17025.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate ethical and sound judgment.
Keen attention to detail selfmotivated results driven with the ability to think outside the box focused on continuous improvement.
Ability to multitask and work with flexibility in a fastpaced everchanging and sometimes challenging environment.
Strong timemanagement skills and ability to perform strategic prioritization.
Promote a strong customer service culture while adhering to the highest quality and industry standards.
Excellent organizational skills.
Preferred candidate may have PhD in chemistry or advanced degree
