The Graphic Specialist role is part of Oral Care Design organization within the Design to Print Platform and oversees packaging artworks for Europe markets. The role collaborates with Design and various internal teams to execute Design Templates into compliant final artwork and fitforuse for printing. Responsibilities include managing the Asset Library producing Digital Templates and leading Graphic Adaptations that uphold Brand Equity and adhere to hard and soft point guidelines. The Graphic Specialist is tasked with preparing controlling preflighting and processing design template files making necessary adjustments to ensure the delivery of printready digital files suitable for flexography digital offset and gravure printing.

The of the Graphics Specialists work meets established quality standards and ensure consistent visualization across product forms and variants at the First Moment of Truth (FMOT).

Candidates for this role should possess a strong knowledge of design principles brand identity and design standards/guidelines along with extensive knowledge of industrystandard prepress and printing processes materials substrates and artwork file specifications. Strong leadership communication and collaboration are essential for success in this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve target Design Intent Production critical metrics including Artwork on Design Intent OnTime Production Qualitative InMarket Complaints and Quality Incident Rate.
• Execute Design Intent Graphics Adaptation and Digital Templates with excellence being responsible for the mapping creation and approval processes in the Assembly Automation Tool (Veraciti).
• Conduct incoming and outcoming Quality Control of Final Artworks and ensure adherence to regulatory style guides and corporate standards.
• Own the multifunctional approval workflow for Digital Templates.
• Lead and govern the asset library effectively.
• Analyze convert correct and prepare Artwork/design files to ensure they are suitable for the intended printing process.
• Collaborate with Design and Brand teams to adapt and produce graphic assets inhouse.
• Troubleshoot and resolve filerelated problems
• Create run and maintain a database of printer specifications.

Job Qualifications

Previous handson experience in graphic and prepress production

• Proficient in color management understand principles methodologies and best practices.
• Deep knowledge of printing processes and their limitations.
• Understand ICC profiles / printing tool making and color transformations.
• Handson experience in artwork file breakdown into subcomponents; in Preflight how to read and apply in trapping bleed and other process specific print ready file requirements and how to apply.
• Understanding of spot colors and usage in prepress applications (PantoneLive processes)
• Munsell Test score of Average Discrimination minimum Superior Discrimination preferred.

Fluency in Graphic and PrePress Design Tools

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator Photoshop Adobe Indesign
• Knowledge of GMG Colorproof OpenColor and Colorserver and/or other prepress tools.

Brand Equity & Design Understanding

• Strong understanding of brand architecture design language/identity systems equity assets and application of design principles to achieve visual consistency.
• Ability to quickly assess design concepts
• Ability to adapt and apply design intent across variants diverse product forms substrates and various print processes through the approval process for representative artworks
