Safe Sitter Program Instructor
St. Andrews Parks and Playground is searching for a Safe Sitter instructor for our summer camp program. The ideal teammate is passionate about teaching and empowering young adults and is excited to be part of a team that has enriched lives through parks recreation and wellness for over 75 years!
A Safe Sitter Instructor plays a crucial role in educating and training individuals typically adolescents in the Safe Sitter program. The Safe Sitter program is designed to teach young people important life and safety skills with a focus on babysitting responsibilities. The instructors primary responsibility is to deliver the program content in an engaging and informative manner ensuring that participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to be responsible and safe babysitters.
This is a great position for fun individuals who love caring for and developing youth aged 1114 years of age. Also a great way to earn experience for Early Education or similar college majors while making money!
This is a seasonal position that runs 2 oneweek sessions on June 2327 and July 1822 during the summer break. Paid precamp training sessions will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on select dates between May 12 to June 2. Attendance at precamp training sessions is mandatory however exceptions may be made on a case by case basis with approval from the Program Director.
The ideal candidate will be a certified Safe Sitter instructor or be willing to obtain the certification prior to the beginning of camp.
