Tasks
You will be working in the Engineering department working on sustainable batteryelectric powered construction machines and vehicles from wellknown brands such as Hyundai DAF Liebherr and Bobcat. All modifications to these machines will be drawn by you! The work for which you will be responsible:
- Creating 3D designs with SolidWorks.
- Production of 2D design and drawings.
- Independently lead smallscale projects such as designing marketspecific modifications to existing machine models.
- Be involved in the development of new machines.
- Determine design specifications and project planning of machine modifications.
- Be responsible for the mechanical design of vehicles and drive projects.
- Support the manager by creating and suggesting improvements in quality and ease of use.
- Initiate and participate in consultations with workshop and suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers on manufacturability and feedback.
- Visiting suppliers.
Requirements
To be considered for this challenging and dynamic position:
- You have a technical education; a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field such as mechatronics or automotive.
- Working experience as a draftsman/constructor in mechanical engineering automotive or offhighway industry.
- A clear and structured way of working.
- A collegial attitude good communication skills and strong technical understanding.
- Command of the English language; Dutch is a plus.
- You are solution and serviceoriented.
- Accustomed to dealing with complex design projects and the resulting (time) pressure.
- Knowledge of automotive and/or internal combustion engines is a plus.
- Experience with CAD and PDM systems (experience with SolidWorks is a plus).
