Job Description
STRIP OPERATIONS MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client an established international manufacturing organization located outside of Toledo OH is seeking a Strip Operations Manager to join their team. This role is open due to an upcoming retirement.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member to the Plant s Leadership Team ensuring the facility is running at its highest capabilities and promoting an environment of manufacturing excellence
- Oversee the Strip operations production processes for safety quality and quantity to deliver products at the lowest total costs to the company
- Manage a team of 58 people 50 hourly associates 2 supervisors 5 engineers and 1 administrative associate providing necessary training mentorship performance reviews etc. when applicable
- Provide a constant presence to floorlevel employees participating in engagement activities
- Create & manage departmental budgets/forecasts presenting to the Leadership Team and ensuring operations remain on track
- Analyze current processes for effectiveness identify areas for improvement and implement action plans
- Focus on Continuous Improvement regarding productivity yield costs safety etc.
- Schedule preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability
- Oversee product delivery to customers confirming it was on time and within established deadlines
- Remain up to date with all compliance/regulations regarding health safety & environmental
- Develop and implement departmental/operational strategies coinciding with the needs of performance materials
- Complete special projects when necessary
- Other tasks as assigned
Details:
- Position is fulltime direct hire
- 100 inoffice
- 1st shift MonFri 4550 hours/week; occasionally will flex to meet with other shifts/team members
- $150000 $185000 annually depending on experience; 20 bonus potential 10 from business/10 from personal objectives)

- Bachelor s degree: Engineering discipline Materials Science Metallurgy or similar technical concentration
- Lean manufacturing certification preferred
- Management experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting
- Must have experience managing hourly and salaried personnel including technical applications
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

- Professional
- Strong technical aptitude
- Strong MSOffice skills/experience (Word Excel Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality
- Relocation available: Will expense trips for house hunting buyout up to 2 months of current lease will provide month s salary up to $5000 for relocation expenses etc.
