Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Restaurant Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a hospitality professional with a passion for fine dining and wine looking to lead and elevate service at a worldclass establishment.
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the seamless operation and profitability of the estate s dining portfolio including the signature Hoseki Restaurant InRoom Dining and the Pool Terrace at the Lodges & Spa.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations across the restaurant inroom dining and pool terrace
Deliver outstanding guest service and ensure an exceptional dining experience
Effectively handle guest needs and resolve complaints professionally
Collaborate with the Sommelier to maintain and update the wine and beverage list
Assist guests with wine recommendations and ensure inroom wine lists are current
Lead staff recruitment training and performance management
Plan and manage staff rosters and oversee overtime management
Control purchasing stock budgets and ensure accurate stock flow
Ensure compliance with health safety and sanitation regulations
Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Head Chef to maintain high standards
Requirements:
Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Food Services Management preferred
2 3 years experience as a Restaurant Manager in a 5star or luxury establishment
Strong wine knowledge with certification or relevant experience
Experience in fine dining aligned with Gourmet Guide or Eat Out standards is advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail with a high level of professionalism
Ability to handle pressure in a fastpaced highend environment
Outstanding planning and organizational abilities
Reliable flexible and selfmotivated
Upholds the highest standards of ethical conduct
