Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a dedicated Assistant Lodge Manager for a luxury lodge situated in Vaalwater. This exciting role offers the opportunity to be part of a highend safari operation supporting daily lodge management and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
This position has a particular emphasis on backofhouse operations while also maintaining responsibilities in frontofhouse guest interaction working closely with the Lodge Manager to ensure seamless operations across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Lodge Manager in overseeing daytoday operations of the lodge
Coordinate and supervise housekeeping kitchen maintenance and frontofhouse teams
Ensure that all guest experiences meet the lodge s high service standards
Handle guest checkins checkouts hosting duties and guest relations
Maintain lodge facilities and ensure all departments operate efficiently
Monitor inventory and procurement of supplies and equipment
Ensure compliance with health safety and hygiene standards across departments
Assist with staff training and mentoring encouraging a strong team culture
Perform administrative duties including reports staff scheduling and stock control
Step in for Lodge Manager when required
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role at a highend lodge or hospitality property
Strong backofhouse operational skills including stock management and logistics
Confident and professional guestfacing demeanor
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Strong leadership and team supervision experience
Computer literate (MS Office; reservations systems a plus)
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
A proactive handson approach and the ability to multitask effectively
