Kendrick Recruitment is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Reservations Manager to join a growing safari company. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives in a fastpaced environment loves working with people and has a deep appreciation for the safari industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage reservations inquiries: respond to inquiries provide quotes and follow up to secure bookings
Team leadership: supervise and train reservations consultants ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures
Sales support: assist the Marketing Manager in generating reports identifying new agents and supporting travel show preparations
Agent relations: build and maintain strong relationships with agents ensuring the best service and maximizing sales potential
Booking management: keep booking schedules uptodate ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies
Invoicing & payments: manage invoicing for international direct clients and agents monitor payments and reconcile invoices
Trip documentation: oversee the creation and accuracy of trip notes client vouchers manifests and other essential materials
Yield management: proactively manage availability to ensure maximum booking potential and profitability across both safaris and lodge accommodations
Staff management: train develop and manage the reservations team conduct performance reviews and handle staffrelated issues
Reporting & analysis: support the management team by providing regular updates on sales performance budgets and agent activity
What Are We Looking For
Proven experience in reservations management preferably in the safari or travel industry
Strong ability to supervise train and motivate a team
Highly organized with a keen eye for accuracy in all booking and reservation processes
Ability to identify sales opportunities and drive revenue growth
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal teams and external agents
Experience using reservation systems (e.g. Quickbooks ResRequest) and managing data accurately
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
Interest in the safari industry and the unique nature of adventure tourism
What s in It for You:
Salary: R25000 per month
Liveout position in beautiful Botswana
