This position provides strategic leadership in developing technology initiatives aimed at modernizing and optimizing financial operations processes and systems. The role has a broad impact and influence across multiple technology and business domains driving innovation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develops and achieves discipline strategy in alignment with functional goals and key business objectives. Collaborates with experts within function to integrate technical objectives into activities associated with accelerated development of new/improved products or technology.
- Advances technical expertise within function. Proactively demonstrates leadership by advising and sharing knowledge and expert opinions with subordinates peers and senior management. Mentors and trains functional colleagues and assesses current and emerging business challenges enabling functional goal achievement.
- Ensures quality and effectiveness of major project plans within function through sound design early risk assessments and implementation of fallback strategies.
- Sources and identifies emerging scientific and technological trends from multiple internal and external sources and assess relevance. Integrates trends into functional shortterm objectives. Advances crossdiscipline technology and direction through generation of data.
- Apply imagination and innovation by creating inventing and implementing new or better approaches alternatives and breakthrough ideas that are valued by customers within the function.
- Shapes relationships with affiliates subsidiaries vendors and industry peers in accordance with Abbvie Values Vendor Management Office and Purchasing to further the mission vision and goals of the organization.
- Responsible for adherence to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies including code of conduct safety GxP compliance and data security.
- Design enterprisewide finance technology architecture
- Design and execute finance transformation roadmaps aligned with business strategy
- Define data models and integration patterns
- Optimize financial system performance ensuring stability scalability and efficient operations in a global environment.
- Ensure effective integration between SAP Finance modules and other enterprise applications (e.g. SAP Group Reporting SAP MDG SAP BTP Tax Engines Consolidation & Planning tools).
- Stay ahead of SAP Finance trends and innovations guiding the organization on the adoption of Fiori AI/ML Advanced Analytics and Cloudbased solutions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent education in Science or Technology related field with extensive of related work; Masters Degree or equivalent education in Science/Technology or PharmD or equivalent education with extensive (typically 14 years) of related work; PhD in Science/Technology or related field of related work experience.
- 8 years of experience in SAP Financial solutions with deep experience in SAP FICO Group Reporting and Intercompany Processes.
- Resultsdriven and strategically proactive with the ability to navigate a matrixed environment across functions and geographies to seize opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Strong analytical strategic thinking and problemsolving skills with the ability to design and implement innovative solutions.
- Understanding of multientity multicurrency and tax localization complexities in a global finance environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading technology innovation initiatives.
- Ability to travel globally up to 15 and effectively collaborate across time zones using digital communication tools.
- Architect realtime financial reporting solutions
- Design cloud migration strategies
- Architect digital finance solutions
- Lead proofofconcepts for new technologies
- Design automated reconciliation systems
- Develop predictive analytics capabilities
- Establish API strategies for financial data exchange
