Job Description
Full-Time Caregiver in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago $18 - $25 Per Hour Weekly Pay
Amada Senior Care Barringtonis a dedicated home care agency providing compassionate and professional care to clients in their own homes. We specialize in delivering high-quality assistance with activities of daily living ensuring that our clients receive the support they need to maintain their independence and quality of life.
We are hiring Part-Time Caregivers with the skill patience and heart to provide care for bed-bound clients receiving hospice support. Youll play a critical role in supporting not just daily living needs but emotional well-being during end-of-life care. Experience with hospice clients transfers and incontinence care is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Bed Bound Support: Reposition clients for comfort skin integrity and pressure sore prevention per care plan and hospice guidelines.
- Assist with Personal Care: Provide assistance with bathing grooming dressing toileting and other personal hygiene needs.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Medication Reminders: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time.
- Companionship: Offer emotional support and engage in conversation to enhance clients quality of life.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundrydishwashing and tidying up.
- Communication: Report any decline incident or change in client condition to the Care Coordinator immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately log ADLs changes in condition and shift notes via AxisCare.
Requirements:
- Experience working with bed-bound clients
- Confident assisting with brief changes bed baths and respositioning
- Must have experience with end-of-life care
- English Speaking
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills compassion reliability and patience.
- A Clean Driving Record/Personal Vehicle
- Current Car Insurance
- A Valid Drivers License
- 18 Years of Age or Older
- 1 Years of Caregiver Experience (Preferred)
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or a similar role preferred.
- Skills: Ability to submit documentation through mobile device
- Certification: CNA HHA or relevant certification is a plus
- Available for 20 hours per week (hours not guaranteed is based on client caregiver match)
- Preferably flexible availability
