Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer of largescale data solutions. You will join a team delivering a transformative data platform for a key Version 1 customer.
You will have a proven track record as a senior/selfstarting data engineer in implementing data ingestion and transformation pipelines for large scale organisations. We are seeking someone with deep technical skills in a variety of technologies specifically Snowflake SQL data modelling ETL tools like StreamSets & graph databases to play an important role in developing and delivering data solutions implementation.
You will ideally have experience in building solutions using a variety of ETL tools and a proven track record in delivering high quality work to tight deadlines.
Qualifications :
You have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor or Master degree in a computational field (Computer Science Applied Mathematics Engineering or in a related quantitative discipline).
- 5 Years and above experience
- Direct experience of building data solution using Snowflake Apache Airflow and StreamSets.
- Expertise in SQL including query optimisation window aggregate functions and stored procedures. Experience in metadata driven processes advantageous.
- Experience with objectoriented/object function scripting languages: Python etc.
- Expertise in data modelling data warehouse design and data lake concepts and practices.
- Experience in data analysis or relevant working experience preferably in the financial and Banking industry specifically experience of working in Financial Crime data projects.
- Proven experience applying domain driven design to build complex business applications.
- Deep understanding of multidimensionality of data data curation and data quality such as traceability security performance latency and correctness across supply and demand processes.
- Indepth knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases including database design.
- General knowledge of Graph Databases.
- General knowledge of business processes data flows and the quantitative models that generate or consume data.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to work with subject matter experts to extract critical business concepts
- Independent thinker willing to engage challenge or learn.
- Strong work ethic a sense of ownership and urgency.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and communicate complex ideas in a simple manner.
- Contribute to the projects and initiatives with high degree of independence.
