The Group Demand & Supply Planner owns the endtoend demand planning and forecast management including but not limited to slow moving inventory management out of stock management delivery fulfilment at Central Stores across all sites to meet stakeholders expectations.
Responsible for maintaining an effective forecast model based on business seasonality trade promotions and supply lead time to drive maximum forecast accuracy for over 2000 SKUs. This is to be achieved by continuously improving the planning processes and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders. Where required effectively challenge influence and improve volume outcomes within the short and longterm horizon for the business.
Supports Supply Chain and Future Fit initiatives in the transition to automated ordering to deliver direct and measurable financial results to COGS.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Forecast monthly Demand utilising information from a wide range of sources including current forecast historic data stock on hand and sales performance.
- Review forecasts to ensure it is aligned with projected trend based on internal and external market insights and to ensure relevant seasonal condition has been applied
- Convert forecast into actionable updates in ERP. E.g. PAR reorder point
- Manage inventory purchasing to meet business demand including maintaining auto replenishing system managing stock levels proactively to prevent waste.
- Optimize supply chain parameters like inventory stocking order frequency supply lead time and logistical requirement
- Work closely with site Supply Chain team to continuously improve and refine systems and processes to enable agile supply chain capability to meet the future business demands.
- Provide mentoring support and development opportunities to internal employees.
- Ensure compliance with and adherence to all relevant legislation and policies and procedures in relation to Responsible Service of Gaming (including training) and the Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct.
What youll need to succeed:
- At least 3 years experience in a Demand Planning role within Food Retail or FMCG company
- Fluent in Demand planning knowledge of systems and processes from supplier to consumer
- Possess excellent communication skills ability to convey data and insights across stakeholders
- Excellent problemsolving skills and root cause analysis
- Ability in managing deadlines in a changing environment; strong organisation skills.
- Possess Business planning skills including broad understanding of financial implications and trend recognition.
- Passionate in analysing interpreting and presenting data or business cases in order to provide solutions optimised systems and processes
- Understand international and national freight constraints and seasonal behaviour
- Understand crossdock and warehouse operational processes
- Expert in data analysis tools (Excel Power BI)
- Advanced knowledge and experience in PeopleSoft (e.g. Super User)
- Prior experience in Warehouse Management System (WMS) systems
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Graduates Degree in Supply Chain business engineering
- Experience with Peoplesoft Warehouse Management Systems and forecasting tools systems and processes.
