Job Description
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in statistical data analysis data science or a related field with proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and data visualization software. They should have experience in manufacturing processes and quality control along with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills. Effective communication and the ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams are essential to translate data insights into actionable improvements. Additionally they should be detailoriented and curious always eager to study and understand processes thoroughly to identify opportunities for optimization. Above all we are looking for a true data lover who is passionate about uncovering insights and driving continuous improvement through data.
Summary
Data Analysis Engineer 1 focus on foundational tasks such as data collection and basic analysis. They play a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy and maintaining databases. The primary focus is on statistical data analysis with an aim to incorporate more machine learning techniques in the future. A longterm goal is to help drive databased decisionmaking within the foundry.
Data Collection and Management
- Data Acquisition: Collect data from various sources including sensors and production logs.
- Data Cleaning: Ensure data accuracy by identifying and correcting errors.
- Database Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain databases.
Data Analysis
- Trend Analysis: Identify basic trends and patterns in production data.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply simple statistical methods to analyze data.
- Root Cause Analysis: Assist in investigating production issues.
Reporting and Visualization
- Report Generation: Create simple reports to communicate findings.
- Dashboard Development: Develop basic dashboards to visualize key metrics.
- Data Presentation: Present data analysis results clearly.
Quality Control
- Quality Metrics Monitoring: Monitor quality metrics to ensure compliance.
- Defect Analysis: Assist in analyzing defects.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Support quality improvement efforts.
Process Improvement
- Process Mapping: Assist in mapping out current processes.
- Benchmarking: Support benchmarking efforts.
- Improvement Recommendations: Provide initial recommendations for process improvements.
Data Automation
- Automation Tools: Implement basic tools to automate data collection.
- Workflow Automation: Develop simple automated workflows.
- Realtime Data Monitoring: Set up systems for realtime monitoring.
Mentoring and Coaching
- Learning from Seniors: Actively seek guidance and feedback from highertier engineers.
- Skill Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share newly acquired knowledge with peers.
Qualifications :
- BS in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Computer Science or related field
- One to three years experience in a related field (preferred but not required)
