Knowledge of the basic competencies within industries specific occupations and specific employers including job readiness job search etiquette technical skills and work environment;
Develop coordinate and implement Rapid Response activities for businesses and affected workers;
Coordinate efforts with the TWC Field Representative to develop Rapid Response Management on site meetings;
Must coordinate orientations for affected staff with the TWC Field Representative Department of Labor Representative and TAA Staff as needed;
May coordinate job search workshop sessions and or Job Fairs;
Notifies the board Rapid Response Manager and Business Development Unit immediately upon hearing of an upcoming lay off;
Order necessary brochures and handouts from TWC or vendor; prepare other handouts necessary for orientations and job search workshops; maintain sufficient inventory of materials; prepares packets for Rapid Response activities;
Develops and maintains activity reports; ensures data is entered timely and accurately into TWIST and WIT;
Assists program participants in developing vocational goals reflective of their skills capabilities and interests.
Manages participant progress towards achieving goals by creating and updating plans.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in related field or a satisfactory equivalent of education and relevant experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated customer service skills
Familiarity with the communities being served with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources
Valid drivers license in good standing and proof of liability insurance are required.

Position is Monday Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Hourly rate is: $25.00 per hour.
