Job Description

The Head of Marketing Elahere is responsible for driving marketing strategy and in the US for approved indication in Ovarian Cancer. Reporting directly to the Vice President of commercial operations for solid tumors this role requires a strategic leader who leverages data analytics and market insights to guide all marketing initiatives. The Head of Marketing will be part of the franchise leadership team and will collaborate with internal teams and external partners including sales MABI medical agencies and precision medicine to ensure seamless and alignment with broader business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing vision strategy and resource allocation plan for Elahere that aligns with AbbVies broader business objectives.
  • Marketing Leadership: Lead all facets of marketing for Elahere including HCP (Healthcare Professional) consumer peertopeer and medical expert engagement.
  • Collaborative Alignment: Lead the crossfunctional integrated brand team (IBT) and ensure a very focused and aligned approach.
  • Team Development: Inspire lead and develop direct and crossfunctional teams cultivating a highperformance culture in line with AbbVies Talent Philosophy and Ways of Working.
  • Promotional : Continuously analyze market dynamics customer needs and business priorities to adjust strategies and ensure marketleading outcomes.
  • Business Planning: Formulate execute and adapt business plans to achieve key performance indicators including financial targets and market share growth.
  • DecisionMaking: Use wealth of experience and knowledge of Oncology and marketing to make high quality strategic decisions that benefit patients and AbbVie. 
  • Partnership Influence: Effectively influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment and buyin across all levels.

Qualifications :

  • Education: Bachelors Degree required MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with oncology experience required Ovarian Cancer experience also preferred
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years leading large teams and/or other people leaders
  • CrossFunctional Expertise: Proven experience in crossfunctional roles including sales market access or medical affairs
  • Marketing Proficiency: Deep understanding of marketing principles including insights segmentation positioning value proposition business model innovation creative development and investment optimization
  • Business Acumen: Strong business planning skills and a keen understanding of market dynamics
  • Leadership Presence: Ability to clearly and succinctly articulate a strategy to its simplest form while leading a crossfunctional team in understanding and addressing critical details
  • Strategic Thinker: High level of critical thinking and strategic mindset
  • Culture Architect: Skilled in creating and sustaining a positive highenergy work environment where the best ideas are heard and brought to the forefront
  • Inclusive Leadership: Exceptional ability to build trust and confidence quickly with diverse stakeholder groups by demonstrating humility and humanity

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

  • This job is eligible to participate in our shortterm incentive programs.
